2026 Forum on Growth and Regional Challenges
The 2026 Forum on Growth and Regional Challenges was a great success thanks to our speakers, event partners, sponsors, and attendees! Ben Goad, executive editor of The Tennessean, served as event moderator. Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce President Stephanie Coleman and Dean of the Jones College of Business Joyce Heames announced a new initiative, the Middle Tennessee Business Confidence Index, in partnership with the Business and Economic Research Center. Deputy Governor Stuart McWhorter delivered the keynote address, followed by a panel of mayors across the region. Mayors Shane McFarland of Murfreesboro, Ken Moore of Franklin, David Morgan of Lawrence County, and Michael Skipper of Greater Nashville Regional Council discussed the effects of growth on economic competitiveness in Middle Tennessee.
